She has performed all over the world in countless productions, including the rock ballet "Billboards," and has also appeared as a guest artist with other ballet companies. Recently, Nicole and her husband Davis Robertson, a fellow company member, danced in the title roles of the Joffrey's production of "Frankie and Johnny." Nicole writes: "I am looking forward to moving on soon, but I'll have the dancing bug for a little while longer." For more information on Nicole's incredible career, check out the Joffrey's website.

The first photo is of JUNE ECKSTEIN HIGGINS, husband Russell Higgins '86, and their son Simon Nathaniel, who was born on June 25, 1998 (June and Russell's ninth wedding anniversary). June received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology from York Univ. in Toronto. She is currently in private practice. The photo and news comes courtesy of June's uncle, Bernard Eckstein '48.
The second photo is of Alex Kaplan (born April 16), son of CIARA BURNHAM and husband Tom Kaplan. Ciara also has another son, Russell (age 4 1/2). She's a vice president at Evercore Partners, an investment banking boutique in N.Y.C., where she works on private equity investing. Husband Tom is the chief financial officer for a real estate investment trust. Ciara notes ruefully that Tom, a Yalie, has already taught Russell the chorus from the Yale fight song. Hopefully, Alex's appearance in the PAW will counteract some of that Yale influence.
Following the most recent awarding of the Class of 1988 Memorial Scholarship Fund, I received a very nice thank you note from President Harold Shapiro: "[I]n looking back over the University's history, it would be difficult to overstate the benefits that a strong financial aid program has brought to the institution as a whole as well as to countless individual students. Please accept my appreciation for the Class's valuable assistance."
