Sound- Tojo declares war to the United States -Sound

1884-1948. Soldier in the infantry he is named war minister in 1940 by Konoe Fuminaro and then he becomes prime minister in October 1941. After that he tries without success to keep the peace with the USA. All Tojo wants is the territories on the Asian ground. But still he agree to the attack on Pearl Harbor thinking that it is better to be the first to make a move. He resigns in July 1944 when Saïpan falls: Japan is then in the range of the american bombers. Arrested in 1945 by the International Military Court, he dies hanged for his war crimes in 1948.
