It Is the dream of nearly every young boy when he first picks up a bat and starts to play junior cricket for his club is to play on the hallowed turf of the Sydney Cricket Ground, to get changed in in same dressing room as the great immortals, to sit on the players balcony and to walk down the steps and onto the ground. This came true for the 24 boys who played in the final of the Watson Shield, this was made possible as this was the Centenary year of cricket in N.S.W. and the board decided to play the final of major junior cricket competition at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Very few senior players get the chance to play there let alone juniors and it was the first time a junior match has ever been played there and more than likely the last. This memory will live with the boys for the rest of their life. This also applies to the parents who were just as thrilled sitting in the Members Pavilion. Thank you for viewing this site
