| Bicycles Students will be allowed to ride bikes to and from school as long as a parent has signed a written permission slip. Bicycles are not to be used during school hours or on school property. Students riding bikes will be dismissed at 3:00pm after the buss have left the yard. Bike are to remain in the bicycle rack provided until this dismissal time. Students riding bikes need to be reminded that they are to follow the same " Rules of the Road" as cars. This means that bikes are not to pass a school bus with flashing lights, on eather side of the road , or in a school yard. Bus Drivers will notify principal and contact parents should students violate this important safety rule. Busses Busses generally run on a tight schedule which could vary a couple of minuets, depending on driving conditions and student absences. Please review the transportation policy and bus rules sent home at the beginning of the year with your children. These rules focus on the three major rules observed at this school; safety, respect, and staying in bounds. Failure to abide by these rules can result in the loss of bus riding privileges for a period of time. Our bus drivers have a very important and sometimes difficult job. They appreciate your assistance with decipline issues and help with getting your children to school in the quickest and safest way possible. We do ask parents to have their children outside at their bus stops ( 5 ) minuets before the bus usually arrives to ensure they catch their ride to school. Busses arrive late for other student pickups and get to school late when drivers have to wait for children. Students are required to have a written , dated & signed permission slip from parents or school before they are allowed to get off at another persons house. Parents are required to talk with the office should a child need to ride on a different bus other than his / her own, so that the bus driver can be notified and learn where the child is to get dropped off.
