Communication Procedures
Direct communication channels are most effective and the most productive in building a strong relationship between parents and the school system.    Communications to the school, wheather it be in the form of questions, concerns, or problems should be directed in the following manner.

1.  First speak directly to the classroom teacher, coach, or appropriate staff member.
2.  If there still is a concern or question, they should next be adressed to the Principal
3.  If  you still feel that the Principal has not adequately adressed the issue,  then the  Superintendent of Schools         should be contacted.
4.  The Penobscot School Committee it the last link in this chain , only after the above steps have been utilized
      and exhausted.

Computers

All students now have access to Macintosh computers in their classrooms and in the library.  Supervised access to the internet is also available in the library.  Students also have the capability to work on Windows or DOS system  documents in the library.  7th & 8th graders have use of state funded laptop computers.

Computers are important learning tools in our school and students are expected to use these tools in appropriate ways by taking care of the equipment and respection the work of other students and adults.  Damaging a computer, software, disk of another person's files will be cause for strong disciplinary  action
that may be result in restriction from use or complete loss of computer privilages.
A School Union #93  Computer and Internet Users Policy (CIUP) was developed diring the 1996-97 school year
