My grandfather purchased the Orchard
called 'Bicknam' in 1932 and
built a bungalow in the centre of
the 5-acre plot.
It is situated in the green belt and included in
the Cotswold area of outstanding natural beauty. Our 5-acre field
including the CL, is Surrounded by Fields (foxes, squirrels, owls, deer
and rabbits are regular visitors) giving the atmosphere of living in the
country
whilst being only two miles from Bath City Centre.
Located
only 1/2 a mile away is the district of Weston with all the
facilities
you would expect from a former village, not forgetting
Baths' large Royal United Hospital.
Over the years my wife & I, have built up a small business with a reputation for quality products always available at competitive prices.
The business is based on a small market garden concentrating on summer
& winter plants, seasonal fruit & vegetables
and fresh eggs.
In 1990 we opened the CL, initially the site was
sloping but with the increased popularity due to the introduction of
electric points, it was decided to completely level the site and in
1996 an access road was laid through the centre with three hard standing
pitches to either side of the road.
Both my wife & I
have been caravanners for at least 30 years and we like to think
we
appreciate your requirements, we will do everything we can to
make your stay enjoyable. The CL is situated very close to the
Bath "Park & Ride" which can also be reached by foot in under 10
minutes so you dont even need to take your car or camper from the CL
site. It is also close to the main Bristol to Bath bus service
route.
We do hope you decide to visit our
site.
