With Tuff Stuff, our focus is on knee joint pain. Most of this pain stems from injuries to the meniscus such as rips and general wear and tear. Tuff Stuff eliminates this pain completely.
Each individual prosthesis is tailor-made for the patient. An MRI must be taken of the knee prior to the operation. From this image, the exact size and shape of the artificial meniscus will be calculated. This ensures that the device will fit perfectly into the patient�s knee.
Only one operation is required for the insertion of Tuff Stuff. A small incision is made in the knee for arthroscopic surgery. Both of the menisci are removed entirely and Tuff Stuff is inserted in its place.
With the use of Tuff Stuff, recovery time is condensed into a much shorter time period. This is due to the fact that no time is required for regeneration of cartilage around the affected areas. The patient can expect normal usage of the knee within a week of the surgery.
Unlike ALL other curent methods, Tuff Stuff does NOT promote osteoarthritis.
