As their kisses grew more intense, AJ remembered he had one more thing for Dawn. He pulled away from her.
"What’s wrong?" She asked.
"I have one last thing for you".
"Alex, you better knock this off, right now,” she joked.
"It’s just something I want you to hear," he said, getting up and walking into the kitchen. He brought out a radio and slid a tape into it.
"Remember a few months ago when we were recording that song and you walked in and Nick made the comment about it coming from me?"
Dawn thought for a minute.
"Yeah, I think so".
"Well, it did come from me. I wrote the song. I wrote it for you, when you went to go stay with your mother that time,” he said, looking down at the ground.
"You wrote a song for me?" She asked, walking over towards him.
"Yeah, I had to do something, I was heartbroken. I needed to find a way to channel all the emotions that were going through me."
The song started and they stood there looking at each other.

Dawn walked over and placed her arms around AJ’s neck. He put his arms around her waist and they started to move to the music.
"I’m so sorry for all the pain I caused you,” she whispered, looking him in the eye.
She knew she had hurt him immensely in the past, but didn’t really realize how much until she listened to the song.
"It’s in the past, it doesn’t matter. We have our whole future together to look forward to,” he said, pulling her closer.
She rested her head against his. They continued to sway to the music, both with their eyes closed, listening to each word.

Dawn looked up at AJ, trying to sniffle back tears.
"Don’t say anything,” he whispered, with a smile on his face.
"I love you", she said, as she brought her lips to his again.
They seemed to get lost in the moment. The next thing they both knew, they were in each other’s arms, on the floor.
AJ stopped and looked down at Dawn, he didn’t say a word, he just wanted to look into her eyes and savor the moment.
"Alex," she whispered to him. "Make love to me."
He stared into her deep brown eyes, there was nothing that he wanted more. It had been so long since the last time they made love, he ached to be that close to her again. He couldn’t help but think of the baby, though. He knew the doctor had told them it was okay for them to have sex again, but he was still scared. There had already been so many complications, he didn’t want to risk it.
"What’s wrong,” she asked, after the long silence.
"I just don’t want to hurt the baby".
"The doctor said everything was fine and it was okay for us to resume a normal sex life,” she said, reassuringly.
"I know", he said. "I’m still worried, though".
"Don’t be. He, or she, is quite protected in there,” she joked.
AJ chuckled. They looked at each other, once again. He stroked her hair, then leaned down and tenderly kissed her. He placed tiny kisses all down her neck. She closed her eyes and ran her fingers lightly through his hair. It felt so good to feel his lips on her again.
She brought her leg up, wrapping it around him. He unbuttoned her shirt and kissed her chest, then reached around and unsnapped her bra, slowly removing it.
