Allegheny Valley Composite SQ 711

Civil Air Patrol, Squadron 711, meets every Thursday evening from 7PM to 9PM at VFW Post 92 at 1601 Wildlife Lodge Rd in Lower Burrell (we formerly met at the New Kensington US Army Reserve Center). We conduct monthly CAP flights in conjunction with other units throughout western PA as coordinated by our Group 1 headquarters at the Allegheny County airport. Note that we have testing every 1st week and Physical Fitness every 3rd week.

We offer activities ranging from Air and Ground Search and Rescue training to aerospace education and leadership studies. Cadets can participate in orientation flights (Cessna C-172 aircraft), model rocketry (low to high powered flight in conjunction with the National Rocketry Association code), military airlifts (KC-130 flights), as well as local and national activities in conjunction with our training.
