In 1991 Squadron 711 was reinstated at the US Army Reserve Armory in New Kensington, PA. Within the first year, we were called in by the US Air Force at Scott Air Force base (now the responsibility of Langley Air Force base) to secure an emergency landing in nearby Leechburg, PA. Our mission at this crash site was to secure the area until the National Traffic Safety Board arrived on scene. Fortunately, all aboard walked away without injury. We train for all other aspects of search and rescue both on land and in the air. We are always seeking new members ages 12-18 for cadets and above for seniors. Seniors must undergo an FBI fingerprint screening and training session. Cadets must maintain good mental and physical abilities. |

We also participate in many local activities. Above is a picture of a small contingency of our unit marching in a parade for local veterans along with various police and fire agencies. We were honored to follow the Vietnam Veterans' Color Guard unit. |
The summer of 1999 was highlighted by the annual National Association of Rocketry hosting their annual national meet at Northmoreland Park. Not only were our cadets assisting in recovery of the rockets, they launched their own low and high powered model rockets. |
