| One shot at glory
Let me hear the battle
cry
calling on the wind
Let me see the banners
fly
before the storm
begins
Let me feel the spirits
soar
Destroy the enemy
Striking at the
evil core
for all the world
to see
This day will last
forever
Deep in the hearts
of men
courage and victory
remember, remember
One shot at glory
in the crossfire
overhead
fate stands before
me
words have all been
said
One shot at glory
driving hard and
seeing red
destiny calls me
one night of fire
one shot at glory
fighting on with
dignity
in life and death
we deal
the power and the
majesty
Amidst the blood
and steel
I still hear the
battle cry
the call goes on
and on
I still see the
banners fly
the battles always
won

SheWolfKiara contributed
this poem to Penn's book following a dream she had about his future.
While not normally a seer, Kiara is tuned to the world of magic and feels
uneasy about the vision and its sources. She knows there will come
a time when her pacifist son will have to make a stand. if not for himself,
then for those he loves. This time comes to the lives of everyone,
so Penn is not unique but his case will be different. He is more
than he seems....
She knows she has
taught him well and that his friends continue to prepare him for this day,
but she worries about her son. Penn will stand on that day, proud,
without fear, and alone. He will face the challenge with the courage
and dignity of his Garou ancestors.
Whether his one shot
at glory is a tale told by his descendants or slips into obscurity remains
to history to be written, but Kiara knows that nothing will ever be the
same afterwards. Penn is more than he seems.... how much more, will
be known one day, in one shot of glory.... |
