"You put Andy before everyone else," Allie says. She is roaming through the store collecting movie books. She wants to read books that interest the Evil Director.I say, "I told you I have to bond with Andy."
"I feel abandoned."
I pull out "Men Women and Chain Saws" and put it in her pile.
"Don't help me," Allie says. "I'm angry at you."
"Okay," I say. "I admit it. I would rather have a boyfriend paying attention to me than a friend. A boyfriend feels more special -- like he needs me more than a friend because he needs me for sex."
Allie looks at me. She says, "I need you."
I look at Allie.
"No," she says. "Forget it. Fine. The Evil Director says he still loves me. He says he wants me to be in his movies again."
"You mean he wants to tie you up again?"
"Well, both, maybe. Maybe I get tied up in his movie."
"Does he have a script? Every time he puts you in a movie, he starts cutting your lines, and then you have to fuck him."
"But this time I'll be fucking him from the start... Will you eat dinner with me tonight instead of Andy?"
"Oh, all right."
"Forget it," she says, "When you say it like that, I'd rather be tied up."
