- Breakfast preparation (and food donations) for Sunday mornings—see Teri Brickey.
- A helper to present 15 minutes of a story, object lesson, music, etc. for children after they are done eating breakfast on Sundays.
- Substitute teachers to help support our current Sunday school teachers—see Anita Lewis.
- Fellowship activities—see Patsy Phelps.
The parlor will be open on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31, and full of happy people playing games, doing jigsaw puzzles, etc. Bring your favorite goody and beverage to share. The fun starts at 8 p.m. and goes until who-knows-when! Bring the kids and their favorite games, videos, etc. and make a night of it.
All new boards and committees should report to the church office by Dec. 21st their member’s names and officers elected which should include a chair, vice-chair and secretary. Please, do not name co-chairs.
There are no mid-week services on Wednesday, Dec. 26 and no middle school youth on Sunday, Dec. 30 due to the Christmas break. All regular programs will continue in the new year.

As the Christmas holiday approaches, the details of life seem to almost get out of control. To ease those overwhelming feelings and still enjoy the blessed day of Christ’s birth, here’s a great suggestion. Observe St. Thomas Day on December 21. Use this day as a goal to finish all those extra holiday chores. That leaves 3 days to enjoy your friends, family & concentrate on the spiritual aspect of this holy day.
Just a reminder that all monetary giving is tax-deductible in 2001 if given by Dec. 31. We are encouraging everyone to give to help ensure we end this year on a positive financial note.
To My Dear Friends & Church Family: I want to thank you all for your many prayers and love shown to me. Thank you for the many calls asking of me and the cards and the visits.
