SPRING SALAD LUNCHEON

The sixth annual Spring Salad Luncheon is scheduled for Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4. Cost this year is only $4.50 for adults, $2.50 for 6-12 year olds and $1 for children under 6. The menu features some of the most delicious homemade salads, breads, rolls and desserts you’ll find anywhere. We invite everyone to come by Friday or Saturday and enjoy a great lunch with friends.
Proceeds from this event will go to help fund our Vacation Bible School.  Middle and high school students who volunteer to work will earn money toward their own youth account.
VOLUNTEERS OF THE MONTH

Faithfully they come each week with a smile on their faces and a cheerful spirit.  They work diligently at their jobs and we are thankful they come to serve this church.  Florene Rittenhouse, Marie Dorough and Maggie Wurtz arrive at the end of each week making the church ready for the Sunday service.  Florene and Marie take care of all of our pew supplies, keeping things stocked, straightened and picked up.  That’s no small job because there are 23 pews in the sanctuary.  Marie and her husband Faber have been busy with the landscaping of the front of  our church with flowers and shrubs.  Maggie spends each Friday afternoon in the church office folding and putting inserts in each of our Sunday bulletins (90 each week) as well as any extra projects that may need doing.  She is currently serving as chair of the Evangelism Committee and teaching an adult Sunday school class.  All three of these lovely ladies have also overseen meals following funeral services.  We appreciate these women so much and the vital work they do for our church.

LITTLE DOGS ON THE PRAIRIE

Continuing into May, our Wednesday night kid’s program features “Little Dogs on the Prairie,” 7-8:15 p.m. for kids 3 years old through 5th grade. “Lyin’, Cheatin’ and a Hot Lollipop” highlights Biblical truths your children will easily use in their everyday lives. Kids can earn “Bible Bucks” for monthly shopping at the “Little Yellow Store on the Prairie.”    We urge parents to bring your children each week and have them invite a friend!  A “prairie dog party” will be held Wednesday, May 29 to celebrate finishing this curriculum.  Beginning in June the program will take on a new summer look with warm weather activities, field trips and great snacks!

SPRING CRAFT BAZAAR

Our annual Spring Salad Luncheon and Craft Bazaar is scheduled for May 3 & 4.  Stop by to shop for spring items and decorations, Mother’s/Father’s Day, July 4th, graduations, weddings, baby showers, etc.  The parlor will be transformed into a colorful “country store” that shoppers will find full of creative, handmade items.  To find unique one-of-a-kind gifts and decorations, be sure to come shop.  Make a date to meet friends you haven’t kept in touch with for some shopping and lunch!  Proceeds will go to help fund our Vacation Bible School and middle and high school students can earn money for their own youth account.
