“MORE THAN SURVIVORS…What It Takes to Thrive Spiritually” is this year’s theme to our 50-Day Spiritual Adventure which started in February, continues throughout March and ends on Easter Sunday. Our worship services have been specially planned with a different “adventure” each week. The remaining 5 weeks begin with the phrase “Those who are more than survivors…..” 4th week) rebuild sacred walls that protect; 5th) reference the culture to share God’s love; 6th) stay alert to self-diminishing compromises; 7th) risk everything for God and his people; 8th) fix their eyes on eternity with Jesus. Make a commitment to yourself and your family to attend each of the remaining week’s adventures. This is great way to approach and prepare for two of our holiest of Christian holidays, Palm Sunday and Easter. |
PALM SUNDAYOn Sunday, March 24, we will celebrate the day that Jesus triumphantly rode into the city of Jerusalem astride a donkey on a road paved with palm leaves the people had laid down to honor him as they jubilantly shouted “Hosanna!” This significant holiday is observed each year the week before Easter and heralds an event that was to change history forever. We hope you make plans to join in worship as the 50-Day Spiritual Adventure continues, “Those who are more than survivors…..risk everything for God and His people.” Our morning worship service begins at 10:45 a.m.  |

EASTER SUNDAYEaster comes a little early this year as we will celebrate on Sunday, March 31 with two separate services: one at 8:30 a.m. and another service at 10:45 a.m. This will be the final week of our 50-Day Spiritual Adventure, “Those who are more than survivors…fix their eyes on eternity with Jesus.” A time of fellowship will be offered between services with a continental breakfast of muffins, pastries and fruit. (Only one adult Sunday school class will be offered at 9:45 a.m. for those wishing to attend.) Breakfast for the kids will be suspended for this Sunday only. Child care will be provided for both services for infants and toddlers through 2 years.

UPCOMING CRAFT BAZAAROur annual Spring Salad Luncheon and Craft Bazaar is TENTATIVELY scheduled for May 3 & 4. If you would like to be a craft vendor, contact Teri Brickey soon so plans can be made to include your merchandise. Ideas could include spring items and decorations, Mother’s/Father’s Day, July 4th, graduations, weddings, baby showers, etc. Call Teri at 966-6962. Also needed is a chair for the luncheon & bake sale and help with vendors and set-up. |
CHILDREN & STUDENT’SEASTER SCHEDULEChildren and students 3 years old through 5th grade will be dismissed for Sunday school during the 10:45 a.m. service only. Students 6th-12th grades will NOT be dismissed during the 10:45 a.m. service so they may remain in the Easter worship service. All children and students are invited to join in the continental breakfast between services.
