 | This is a self-portrait. Jewelry was my focus for the BAFA Degree in Art Studio that I received December of 2000 from the University of New Mexico. Casting is only a small portion of the work that I have done. Fabrication is more interesting to me because it does not degrade the metal as much as casting does. Unless you melt something while you are attempting to solder it, but that's a whole 'nother story. |
 | This is the famous church that is located in Old Town here in Albuquerque. Sorry, but the name escapes me. I took the photograph while sitting on the ground approximately 30 feet in front of the building. The perspective was interesting to me because it exaggerates the idea of Heaven being in the sky. The man in the hard hat adds to the photo by suggesting that Heaven itself may be under construction. The number of crosses also plays a part in the composition of the picture. |
