Peggy's Dining Is Simple.
Find a way to the white stucco house that is located 3 blocks south of the courthouse on the corner of Byrd Ave. and Bay St. Just walk up on the porch and into the Webb home. A home cooked meal will be waiting on the table in the hall where you can serve your own plate with your favorite vegetables and meat of the day. After you have filled your plate, find a seat wherever you can and enjoy the community seating that has been a part of the Peggy's tradition since 1961. There is always a mix of local and out of town dinner guests. The stucco house was also the webb family home until the spring of 2002 when Don and Peggy moved into their long deserved new home. This opened up the Webb living room for more dining area. Now, even though the parking lot is full, there is probably a chair still available for you to join the family atmosphere and home cooking. Oh yeah, don't forget to drop your money in the basket, after you have enjoyed your meal. |
