Peggy Ann Moore was an individual with a vision. For those of you who had the opportunity to know Peggy, know what a kind and caring person she truly was. Peggy loved the arts, quilting, and family. She gave to all unselfishly her knowledge, love and compassion. We believe certain people come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. They are there for the reason you need them to be. When people come into your life for a season, it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They may bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Lifetime relationships teach you lifetime lessons; those things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. In memory of Peggy, members of her quilt group formed "Peggy's Angels" after her death in April 2000. Peggy had a heart of gold and would give her all in whatever project she was working on. She held a special place in her heart for the "special babies" in the neo-natal intensive care unit at our local hospital. She loved making and providing quilts for the babies and their families. While Peggy was in the hospital, her quilting friends made a quilt especially for her. She loved it so much. It brightened her room and brought joy as well as comfort to her. In seeing her joy and receiving her quilt, we know that as "Peggy's Angels" we can provide the same joy and co Wesley Medical Center. We are dedicated to keeping Peggy's dream alive. Let's share and expand our love of quilting and grow as individuals. Let's give to those who are in need and provide comfort for those who need it. Peggy's death has left a giant hole in our hearts. Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart. Peggy's Angels will be sponsoring "Round Robin Quilting" events on a semi-annual basis. Our goal is to make the quilts for the babies as well as cancer patients With the vast network of local quilters and sewing enthusiasts, quilts will be constructed. Many local businesses have sponsored and supported our effort by providing materials, supplies and door prizes to be given away during our events. Participants are guaranteed to have a fun day of sewing, prizes, lunch, and refreshments. Please join the Peggy's Angels network in helping us contribute to the comfort and care that these quilts can provide.
