Buddham Saranam Trust is  intended to propagate the Buddhist philosophy & ideals among the people of Kerala. Kerala is a southern region of India which opened visas for  the early  Buddhist missionaries from Sri Lanka. Malayalam is the mother-tongue of  the Keralites. During the first seven centuries of C.E. the Buddhist religion was predominant in Kerala. But its organizational machinery gradually deteriorated  as much that there remained  in Kerala not even a single traditional Buddhist. Only some Neo-Buddhists can be seen. Still the cultural heritage that Buddhism  created  exists in vast dimension. But its manifestations are not properly identified even by the scholars . So  the situation necessitates extensive researches  to be carried out in this field. The Buddham Saranam Trust mainly  focuses at finding out various aspects of the  Buddhist heritage of  Kerala. It is a laborious  work and   we take it with full confidence in the supportive hearts of culture  loving peoples all over the world.
