The writter of Lady Death has teamed up with another Comic Book Co. and recreated her.
He has come back with a different story line for how she became Lady D. and to tell you the truth i kind of like it better.
Lady D. is now half Human half Eldritch, the only problem with that is that the Eldritch hunt Humans as pests. During one of these hunts the Eldritch king sleeps with a Human woman, who flees not long after.
Lady D. does start with the name Hope in this one as well, which is nice. She returns with her mother to the village her mother fled from, where she is realized to be Eldritch. Right after her mother tells her what she is, the townspeople come for them and kill them both. Hopes father finds them, when he can not revive his love he brings new life to his daughter, that until that moment he didn't know he had.
A new beginning of a beloved character takes guts, but i think its wonderful. There is more to the story this time. There still is a lot in the story line that has to do with religion, and not all of it is a glory to the Catholic Church, but thats what happens when your the oldest of the Christiam churches.
i don't want to give it all away, and that was a lot, when taken that the comic is a mere 5 issues old. I can't wait to see where she is taken now.
I have not had a chance to look around for pics of the new Lady D. when i do i will be sure to put some up.
I defently recomend this comic to anyone. Period.
