Semadar Labradors began in 1993 with the acquisition of our first Labrador Retriever we named Olly. Quickly
becoming addicted to the breed we purchased our first bitch, Jarlshof Royal Flush, whom we named Bella. Bella has good attitude in the show ring and very quickly gained her Championship title
at just 17 months. Semadar and Arohanui Labradors are dedicated to the improvement of the Labrador breed. The welfare of animals and their care are of paramount importance. Nicole owner and
breeder of Semadar Labradors had worked as a Vet nurse in New Zealand during the years of 1995 - 1996. In 1998 Nicole completed a two-year course gaining a certificate in General Animal Science
at the Auckland Institute of Technology. After moving to England in 2001, Nicole gained a certificate in Microchipping. In 2002 Nicole completed a course in Intermediate Canine Psychology at
the Animal Care College in Reading. Experience and knowledge attained from these courses covers a wide range of topics such as dog training through positive reinforcement, behaviour,
genetics, husbandry, Nutrition, breeding and many more. Nicole's Vet Nursing experience and academic studies have been useful aids to the establishment and continued success of Semadar and
Arohanui Labradors. For Nicole most weekends are spent away at dogs shows or training centres. Xena and Moses
are currently our show dogs. Doulton is training to track and search and will be shown later on. Bella is now retired from the show ring and loves to just chill out around the house letting the
other dogs know she is top dog. |
