Pecan Creek's Timpanist (aka Timmy) will be 20 on May 22, 2007 but don't say that where he can hear you! He neither looks nor acts his age (somewhat like his owner who might look but certainly does not act her age) and he considers himself to be very much the ladies' man.
All fooling aside, Timmy is, in my humble opinion , the ultimate in a section B Welsh pony. First and foremost , he has a wonderful disposition and, while he's "all business" when it's breeding time, I can put my great grand daughter on him with no saddle and trust him to just putter around the paddock with her. We had a heart-stopper a few years ago when a two year old child ran up under him and wrapped herself around his hind leg with a bear hug. Timmy just froze until we extricated the kid.
Timmy has the size that an adult needs to not feel silly riding and the heavy bone that's so desirable in a Welsh. He is poetry in motion when he moves. Can you tell that I'm totally in love with this guy!? |
