The name Peatage has a long history to it.  Its origins go back to a bowling game Matt Marken invented and continued on to refer to a car wash located at Middlebelt and 8 Mile Roads.  Casey O'Neil first used the name in reference to a softball team with his three time St. Colette softball champion teams.  This 12-18 softball league was ripped apart by Peatage, which at one point went two and a half seasons unbeaten.  Peatage was carried to the Men's leagues of softball in Fall of 1999 when Casey formed his new team and carried on the Peatage legacy.  Despite disagreements of the spelling (Peatage or Peetage), this great name lives on in softball lore.  As Peatage the softball team grows and becomes better and better, so will Peatage the word and all it can refer to!

Peatage Hall Of Fame

MEMBERS:

Craig "Machine Gun" Kelley (1999F-2000F)                      #13 Catcher                                                        Inducted:  November 1,  2001

For three seasons "Gunner" contributed to the heart and sole that Peatage still possesses today.  Craig demonstrated that no matter ones age or athletic prowess, as long as you have the effort and desire to succeed, you will help your team.  Craig's play truly demonstrated what "Hardcore" means and it is because of this the "Hardcore Award" was renamed in his honor.   Gunner's number 13 will be forever retired for the Peatage Softball Team.

The Peatage Hall Of Fame recently inducted it's first member this off-season (Machine Gun Kelley).  This will be the greatest honor that can be bestowed upon a former Peatage player and will require a vote on 70% of the ballots turned in.  Those eligible to vote are current and former Peatage personnel and worthy Peatage fans.  Below is a list of those eligible for the Peatage Hall Of Fame...

Rachel Maroudis (1996-1999 St. Colette)

Lorne Trupiano (1999F)

Kyle Galan (1999F-2000)

Brad MacDonald (2000)

Jim Moore (2000F-2001)
