I woke up to sunlight & a little bit of music. I looked over & saw Howie driving. I looked back to check on Kara. She was fast asleep in the back seat. She stirred, but didn�t wake up. I turned my attention back on Howie. I studied him a little bit better than I did at the hotel the previous night. He had curly brown hair & dark colored skin. Definitely has Spanish heritage I thought. Sunglasses hid his brown eyes & I also noted he was very muscular. Howie soon realized that I was awake.
�Good morning, did you sleep well,� he asked.
�Morning, I slept like a baby.�
�Is Kara still asleep?�
�Yes,�
�Are you hungry? I can turn off & get something to eat,�
�Yeah, it's been awhile since I have eaten something & besides that Kara might be hungry when she gets up.�

Howie turned off at the next exit. McDonalds seemed like the quickest food we could grab so, we went there & got back on the interstate. Just as I predicted Kara woke up & complained of hunger. I gave her some food & turned back to Howie.

�Where exactly are we going,� I asked.
�I don�t know,� He said, �I just want to get out of Florida & then make some sort of plan.�

I agreed with Howie. We get as far away from the enemy as possible & then make a very good plan. Wow! I thought, He�s good looking & smart. I wonder what else he can do.
I ate as Howie drove. I looked out the window & awaited our next adventure.
