| Chapter 9 |
| On the day I was to reappear in court, I took Sunny to see her mother. Sarah was so frail, but was glad to see both of us. Sunny went & sat with her brother who met us there. I told Sarah what I was planning to do. She liked the idea. We left & went to the courthouse. Sarah came with us. When our case was called I went up with hope that Sunny was mine. Mr. Dorough, the test came back positive. You are indeed the father of Sunny Marie Robins. I was given some choices by Mr. Robins. He claims he told you these options what is your decision. Your honor I have made another decision that was not made by Mr. Robins, but Miss Robins has agreed to let me do. We have agreed that until the time of her mothers death, Sunny will remain with her brother. Afterwards she can join me & I will care for her. Also, why she is in the care of her brother I will pay child support. Is this something you agreed on Miss Robins. Yes, your honor. Then thats what will go down. Mr. Dorough, you will be sent paper work so that a child support amount can be determined. Court dismissed When we walked outside Sunny hugged me. When she pulled away she was crying, but a smile filled her face. Thanks Dad, she said. We went back to the hotel & then they drove me to the airport. I said goodbye to everyone. I left to go meet my band mates in Canada. I hoped that I would see my daughter again soon. |
