| Burning Permit Regulations Washington State burning permits are required for fires larger than 4x4x4. For information about obtaining a permit, call the Washington State Department of Natural Resoures. Burning permits will only allow you to burn fires fueled by natural debris such as tree limbs, yard waste, stumps, etc. Washington State Law strictly prohibits burning of trash and burn barrels. You must obey all burning bans in effect for Whatcom County. For everyone's safety, a water supply must be available at all times while burning, and fires must be attended at all times. Failure to follow these rules can result in any of the following: 1. A fine from PVCC. 2. Reported to the Department of Natural Resources. 3. Notification of the local Fire Department. By signing and submitting the burning permit it signifies that you have read and agreed to abide by the PVCC Burning Permit regulations. |
