| REBECCA: Beloved Friend |
| This is about a very special person in my life, Rebecca. We've technically been friends since 7th grade, but we fell out of touch about our junior year. Now most people would have forgotten such a friendship but not Becca! Imagine my surprise when almost 20 years later a letter arrives, telling me she'd paid a computer search site so that she could find me. I still cannot believe the depths of love that takes. |
| Becca is a fabulous woman, strong, smart, witty, caring. The kind of person you can talk to everyday and never be bored. She has so many layers to her personality that I don't think even she's discovered them all. One thing for sure though is that she is a MOM first and foremost. She is raising her son Cody by herself and I'll tell you he is one of the most polite and well mannered boys I've ever met. Then again he's a lot like his Mom. |
| I do know that Becca makes me feel very special every time we speak. While she's not afraid in anyway to voice her opinion she always makes sure you know you are important in her life. Heck she even puts up with MY childish ways without screaming. Whenever we speak I feel loved and cherished and I know that she does this for all of us that are privliged to be called her friends. I have seen this in her letters to me and in her converstaions with others. Once some one is called friend by Becca she pours her whole heart and soul into a friendship and it cuts her deeply when someone betrays that feeling. Yet she does forgive most things and holds on to a friendship with a deep loyalty. This is why some of her friends have been around for years. I guess what I'm saying here is that I love this woman very deeply. While I know that this page is very brief I needed some form to express my feelings toward this remarkable woman, yet I have fallen incredibly short since the joy of knowing is so overwhelming I find myself at a loss for words. |
