Cape Breton Highlands National Park and Lunenburg |

We looped around Cape Breton Highlands National Park, and then stopped in Baddeck Nova Scotia where Alexander Grham Bell lived. There is a museum there that was really interesting. Then we continued south past Halifax to Lunenburg Nova Scotia. |

We spent about 4 days in Lunenburg N.S. It is a UNESCO World Heritage site due to the large number of old buildings and it's importance to Canada's history. |

We stopped in the town of Antigonish and checked out the McLobster sandwhich at the McDonalds. |
|
|

|
The shipyards here built a tall ship called the Bluenose. It won awards for it's speed. It is very famous in Canada and is on the Canadian nickle. The Bluenose II is berthed here and gives tours when in port. |

|
Lunenburg became a ship building center, and several famous tall ships were built int the ship yards here. Modern tall ships still come here to be refitted and repaired. |

This is the Anglican Church in Lunenburg. We walked all over the town and visited several old, beautiful churches. |
