Taos rv park San Francisco de Asis
We stayed for several nights in Taos. We could see snow on the mountain tops from the RV park we stayed at near town. We have been to Taos several times before, but I always wanted to visit several old  churches in the area. This is San Francisco de Asis Church in Ranchos de Taos just south of Taos. It was built in the 1800s by the Franciscans. It still has an active parish and is one of the most photographed churches in New Mexico.

Las Trampas
This was just an interesting gate and wall bordering the church plaza.
Las Trampas
We left Taos and followed the High Road to Taos, south towards Santa Fe. It goes through scenic mountains and small towns. We checked out San Jose De Gracia church in Las Trampas.

The church is another old adobe building, still being maintained with real adobe: mud & straw.
