History

On April 5, 2002 The Heartbreakers were born. Formed from a former low-card singles wrestler in Jack Valentine and a former PWA trainer in Johnny Heart. As single's competitors, the two have had little luck, however once paired up with one another, their styles complimented each other immensely, creating an ultimate tag team.

The pair met for the first time in Spring of 2001. Jack was just getting out of his bodybuilding career and Johnny was training for PCW in the local gyms. Unfortunately for Johnny, he was injured and all chances of him going to PCW were trashed, at least for the time being. On the other end, Jack was becoming a washed up bodybuilder and the former 'child model' was looking for a new career...

Johnny took Jack under his wing and began training Jack for the academy known as the PWA. Luckily for Jack, a hope arised when PCW announced that they would be signing a brand new 64 Man Roster, and a draft would be held to select superstars from PCW, PCW2, PWA and other indy promotions.

Jack was signed, thanks manly to the help and guidance from his 'mentor' Johnny Heart. Jack was thrown right into the mix of things by making his mark right off the bat in the World Title Tournament. Defeating legends like Vampir Nosferatu and Ryan Knox in the tournament, Jack Valentine's career was skyrocketing. Jack moved on to receive several Extreme and Rising Star title shots and even defeated hardcore icons like Trashcan Man and Ed Novak along the way. Unfortunately, the success was short lived as injury and character problems developed for Jack in Winter of 2001.

Around that same time, PCW saw what Johnny did for Jack. He took someone who was a nobody and turned him into a halfway decent. Johnny was signed to be a PWA trainer in late 2001, while waited out his injury.

In early 2002, Jack made a single's return but that return may have come a little too soon. Jack re-injured himself and if that wasn't bad enough, it was in a match with HANK~!

Johnny had since then retired from PWA and Jack was training hard to make a return. Johnny met back up with Jack to help him through his injury and that is where the pair conjectured that they should form a tag team. Thanks to Johnny's guidance and Jack's experience, the team is where they are today and heading to the top!
