I am an Arizona girl at heart. I was born and raised in the small towns of San Manuel and Oracle, Arizona and, through all of my adventures, this is where I call home. I am the oldest child in my family at the age of 25 and I have a younger brother, Aaron, who is 21. I also have a beautiful Golden Retriever named Gunner who is three years old.
Although I am from Arizona, I recently graduated from Atlanta Christian College in East Point, GA. with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education (preK-5) and a Minor in Biblical Studies.
My interests include animals, "I Love Lucy", "Harry Potter", serving God, traveling, and working with/teaching children; my hobbies include reading, writing, sign language, and using my creative talents in any way possible.
The Peace Corps has been something I have wanted to do ever since I was in high school, as I was beginning to plan for my future. It began as an insatiable interest sparked by a television ad and I actively sought all the information about the Peace Corps that I could get my hands on. I had always known that I wanted to teach, but what a better way to use my talents and abilities than in a organization in which I could make a difference?!!? After all, I desire for my talents and abilities to be used to the glory of God! And now here I am in Bulgaria having the time of my life and teaching English all at the same time! What a blessing this has been! |
