| Pantograph Pantographing is a simple, generally basic, design that repeats on the quilt in rows. Different patterns and sizes are available. Please contact me for specific designs and further information. Stippling Stippling is a quilting technique that has become very popular and can show a variety of textures in different block designs. Stippling is a single line of stitiching that wanders all over the area without crossing itself. The stippling design can vary from tight to regular stitching as it depends on the area ov coverage. For example, a small wall-hanging or mini-quilt would have a tighter stippling than a table runner or bed-sized quilt. Meandering As in stippling, meandering is a technique that "meanders" all over the quilt top without crossing itself. Custom Custom quilting provides many options to the quilter and would include techniques, such as, Stitich in the Ditch, Block designs, Circular designs and Echo Stitiching. | Batting I prefer to work with Warm & Natural or Heirloom battings, which are both needled cotton batting regularly available at local fabric stores. I do not care to work with Mountain Mist or some of the polyfill battings because of the problems that occur in their use. I can offer the batting or work with your batting, provided it meets requirements. Hobb's Heirloom and Warm & Natural 100% Cotton batting are available for purchase. Availability and prices for battings are subject to change seasonally. Please request a prices and check on availability, if interested. |
Thread I use 100% Cotton Thread and have a variety of colors to emphasize your piece work.. Quilting price includes one thread color throughout the entire quilt. Thread color changes will be $5.00 per color. |
