FLOWER SO BEAUTIFUL

THE STRANGER

SOMEHOW THERE'S WISDOM IN LOSING AN ARGUMENT

You stood the test of time despite adversities and pain.  Everyday you lay unaffected with all the stormy weather and heavy rains.  From summer to fall 'til the last drop of snow,  you endure them all but never let it show.  That strength that you bear and your amazing grace makes human beings wonder why in all the earth life's harsh realities never show unto your pretty face.

Oh flower so beautiful,  reveal to us the secret of your soul.  Teach us the truth about you that we may be beautiful too.

Make known to us the beauty that goes with that loving mystery.

And this is what the flower has to say:

"Many times in my life,  I feel so helpless and tired.  Living in a constant fear,  I am almost to surrender,  but when I remember the One who created me and all of us...the One who sends me here for a purpose, I just can't help but shine like gold...smile and give joy...color the world...for that is what I am here for...to be a flower so beautiful.

In this world like ours where everyone is catching up their breath,  trying to make both ends meet,  isn't it nice to stop for a while,  to relax and be at peace with the stranger who has loved you all your life...who knows you by heart...whom you ignored for a time?  The stanger who was YOU?

It preserves relationships,  it creates wonderful memories,  it maintains harmony and peace, and most of all it gives the winner a reason to think twice about his victory;  whether or not he truly wins...for the prize he gets is not what his proved self deserves...he seems to have lost more than what the loser loses.  Not only does he lost his heart and soul and speeches he also lost his chance of knowing the lessons a listening ear and silence can teach him...that the way to win an argument is to lose it,  and the way to lose and argument is to have control over one's self...and to have control over one's self is the true mark of a wise man indeed.
