THE GREAT INVOCATION |

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste and remember what peace there maybe in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit. If your compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the whole world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune, but do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here...and whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God; whatever you conceived Him to be; and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful, strive to be happy.

Just close your eyes and open your heart and feel your worries and fears depart. Just yield yourself to the Father above and let Him hold you secure in His love. For life on earth grows more involved with endless problems that can't be solved; but God only asks us to do our best then He will "take over" and finish the rest. So when you are tired, discouraged and blue. there is always one door that is open to you, and that is the door to the "house of prayer" and you'll find out God is waiting there. The house of prayer is no farther away than the quiet spot where you kneel and pray; for the heart is a temple when God is there as we place ourselves in His loving care. He hears every prayer and answer each one when we pray in His name "Thy will be done"; and the burdens that seemed too heavy to bear are lifted away on the "Wings of Prayer" |
From the point of LIGHT within the mind of God let light stream forth into the minds of men...let light descend on earth. From the point of LOVE within the heart of God, let love stream forth into the hearts of men. May Christ return to earth. From the center where the WILL of God is known, let purpose guide the little wills of men...the purpose which the Master knows and serves. From the center of which we call the RACE of men, let the plan of LOVE & LIGHT work out and may it seal the door where evil dwells. Let the LIGHT, LOVE & POWER restore the plan on earth.
