Marshall's Review
Palm M500 and
Seiko ThumBoard
Page Nine

Convenience and portability are an important factor in choosing a PDA.
The OZ-770 Wizard is on the larger end of the acceptability scale,
but the case is sleek and smooth, and it is therefore portable.
It can be carried in your pocket without being a burden.
What about the Palm M500 with the Seiko ThumBoard?
Here is a photo comparing their relative sizes:

The Wizard is longer than the Palm and ThumBoard put together. However, the ThumBoard is about 3/4 inch wider than the Wizard. And they make a clunky shape that doesn't fit easily into a pocket. However, it is still quite a small size, and lightweight. It is easy to carry the Palm in one pocket, and the ThumBoard in a different pocket. Or, both will fit easily into a small carrying case:

Conclusion: There is no perfect solution for a Wizard replacement. I wish Sharp would resume production of the OZ-770 with a larger memory, and a USB sync cable, however that's not likely. Any PDA you buy today, will be out-moded and replaced in a few years. In the meantime, I haven't found anything better or less expensive than this Palm/ThumBoard combination.
