Marshall's Review |
One reason the Wizard OZ-770 was so useful is the amount of
freeware available on the internet. There are a number
of Wizard enthusiasts, who have written word processors, ebook readers,
games, etc for the Wizards, and there is an "official" website as
well as several large unofficial websites, dedicated to the Sharp
Wizard organizers. (Click here for a list.)

The Palm M500 has an overwhelming advantage over the Wizard OZ-770 with regard to software. There are thousands of Palm applications and games that are easily available on the internet absolutely free. There are also programs that will assist programmers in writing their own programs for the Palm PDAs. I have made a website about some of my favorite Palm freeware, and you can see it by clicking HERE. The Palm M500 comes with some good free software on its accompanying cd: PowerOne, a financial calculator; and Documents to Go, which includes spreadsheet, powerpoint, and MS Word editors. "Word to Go" makes it easy to move Word documents back and forth between your Palm and your PC.
