The Wizard OZ-770 comes with a nice Day-Timer PIM
(Personal Information Manager), and can synchronize data with that,
or with MS Outlook, using the freeware Rupplynx Express. It synchronizes
well, but slowly, since it is via a serial cable, which is slow. Here
is a screenshot of the Palm Desktop.

The Palm M500 has superior synchronization capabilities. It comes with the Palm Desktop PIM (which is very nice), and it can also synchronize with MS Outlook. The transfer is complete, and rather fast, because the M500 transfer cable is USB, which is much faster than serial. To synchronize data, or add an application, you just put the M500 in its cradle, and push the sync button, and the synchronization/installation begins immediately. Here is a photo of my M500 in its cradle. The power button glows (you can see it at the top right of the unit) when the unit is in the cradle, and also the M500's lithium battery recharges. |
