Held every year, the Oshkosh Airshow apparently had ~750,000 visitors last year and roughly 100,000 visitors on July 28th, 2007, the day we went.

My boys at Canon are busy plastering their name everywhere, although I saw a surprising amount of Nikon hardware and not nearly enough 'L' glass out there from the Canon folks.

Apparently this beast can go backwards pretty darn fast - if you look closely at the engines you can see what looks like an opening in the middle; it is reverse thrust and loud as all heck.

Our latest stealth bomber, an inherently unstable design made possible by fly-by-wire technology, which means the computers interpret the pilots control movements along with the planes natural movement to calculate the right reactions to achieve the pilots goal. In some photos you can see the doors that open vertically at the ends of the wings to create drag and turn the plane. Gotta love my technical terminology and spelling!

Some WWII equipment as part of the show.

Our latest fighter, the F-22 Raptor, makes its debut with a vertical takeoff.

Tough to see much, but that is the main runway as we departed from the northern runway.
