Windows has new security vulnerability again, affects 2000 & XP.

Windows Xp and 2000 have been once again found to have a vulnerabilty that could cause a denial of service attack for limited time (DOS). Israeli scientists create lie detector for airports

The two stage GK-1 vocie analyser is able to detect unconcious tremors in a person's voice, and detect if the person is hiding something. The decided is rumored to cost about 10-30,000 dollars, and several countries have already expressed interest in it. The first field test will be in a Russian airport.The downside is that even though its supposed to be the most acurate and get a result within 45 seconds, it is not perfect.

Sony installs hidden programs,files and registry keys in a PC with a CD

Recently the investigation of Mark Russinovich at Systernals.com revealed that Sony Music Cd's install this programs and hides them when a user inserts the forementioned CD and uses the program on the CD to listen to the music.The outrage lies in the fact that if tired to be removed, the software erases the CD Drive from the machine, and can potentially render the whole machine useless. Sony has released a patch for it, but it has opened yet another vulnerability in Windows.Unfortunately Trojans, Worms ,Adware and Malware are begining to take full use of the rootkit's cloaking abilities, and hide themselves.
