| The Poplar Bluff High School Teenage Republican's under the direction of President Mitchell Davis are in the process of starting a state-wide club drive to form a Missouri Federation of Teenage Republicans. As of date the club has been successful in establishing three other federations across the state. President Davis has announced that once ten clubs are in existence across the state Gayle Kingery TARS will hold the first state convention. The convention will be held in Jefferson City, Missouri and the planning board has activities in mind such as visiting the state capitol, the governor's mansion, and the state supreme court. The board will release further information regarding the convention at a later time. In addition to the club's interest in forming a State TARS, students are also volunteering to help the School Board candidacies of Dr. Mike Price, Vice President of the Board, and Mr. Hardy Billington, President of the Board. TARS plan on canvassing neighborhoods and make phone calls for these candidates. |
