The Star Trek PBeM
Intergalactic Database is a passive index. The
Database Manager does not seek out sites to add.
Instead, sites that join one or more of the
Database's webrings are automatically entered
into the Intergalactic Database for Star Trek
sims. Otherwise, sites must apply to be added.
Sites that belong
to Database-owned rings recieve a navy highlight
next to their listing. This is not only to draw
attention to the site, but also to let people
know that the link is monitored by WebRing, and
more likely to be a good link.
A site must meet
the following criteria before being added to the
Database:
The site must
be almost wholly focused on Star Trek
online roleplaying. All forms,
play-by-email, play-by-bulletin board,
and instant chat, are welcome.
The site can
also be focused on supporting, building,
or running a Star Trek sim. For example,
indexes, link lists, forums, advice
articles, portals, banner exchanges, and
so on, are allowed into the Database.
Non-profit,
private, and personal sites are allowed.
Sites with very few affiliate links or
items for sale will be considered. Spammy
or wholly commercial sites will not be
considered.
Adult oriented
sites are added to the Database if
appropriate warnings are made by the
site.
Porn, hate,
and spam sites are not added to the
Database.
Use the special Add
Sim form
for sims, simming organizations and task groups.
Use the Add Resource form for sim resources,
such as banner exchanges and portals. Use the Contact form for questions,
comments, or to report broken links.
