Our Wedding Flowers

| I love flowers, especially roses so I wanted a lot of them
at the wedding. But too many and I start sneezing. So an option for us
was silk flowers. They have really improved in the last few years and many
are hard to tell apart from real flowers.
A couple of added bonuses are the price and the fact that I can do them ahead of time and not have to worry about them until the day of the wedding. Also with the silk flowers I can get what I want and use the same flowers for a wide variety of purposes in the wedding. The first thing I made was a couple of corsages.
Depending on what color dress the ladies are wearing they will get either a white of mauve colored corsage. The mother of the groom, Joan, and his sister, Alison, and Lee's 2 daughters, Deanna and Erika, will each wear one of these corsages. Three young ladies who will be our readers will wear corsages with 1 large rose each. Colin will wear a boutonniere with 3 roses.
Tim, the best man will have 2 roses in his boutonniere and the 3 ushers, Gavin, Willy and Zach, will have 1 rose each. Amanda, the flower girl, Lee's grand-daughter, will carry a small gold basket with 4 roses in it. The Matron of Honor, Lee's aunt, Suzanne, will carry a bouquet of 5 white and 1 mauve roses and 6 purple rose buds.
The bride will carry a bouquet of 18 mauve roses with 12 rose buds.
