Favorite Food: Japanese food (tempura, gyudon), or any chicken / beef viand - Gerard doesn't eat fish, and he eats a very limited selection of veggies. How he grew to be so tall... that I don't know. My guess, it's the genes.
Hangouts: He's basically a homebody. In the sense that he may be outside the house, but still within the vicinity of it. If not at home, you can bet he's at the mall. Some of those he frequents: Rockwell, Festival Mall, Alabang Town Center (malls near his house) and the SLR mall in Cainta (that's where the team has practice everyday).
Night out's: Usually with teammates, or with college friends. Places he frequents: Libis area (Eastwood, Grilla, Outback), Greenbelt
Clothes: Jeans and polo or shorts and t-shirt. Typical player attire.
Music: RnB - He doesn't like loud music.
Pets: 7 Labradors, 3 Dachshunds, 1 Lhasa Apso, 2 Persian Cats, 1 Aroana - In short, Gerard likes pets.
Car: Ford Explorer, M. Benz car

Trivia:
* Did you know that Gerard has a penchant for shoes? He averages 5 new pairs a month.
* Did you know that the only fruit he eats is orange? He doesn't eat bananas, but he loves "turon". Gets?
* He loves fried chicken, but he doesn't eat chicken with soup (ex. Tinolang manok, etc.)
* Did you know that Gerard sponsors a little league team during the summer? He helps provide for the uniforms and even coaches the team.
* Did you know that his childhood friends and relatives call him "Jag", but his CSA and High school friends call him "Ocsi"? Now, in the PBA, his teammates and most people call him "Ge". (talk about evolution)
* On his graduation day at the CCP, he walked up the stage on crutches. He was drafted on January, 1999 and is one of the few players who opted to continue their studies despite being in the PBA.
* Gerard is right-handed. But he can dribble and lay-up with either left or right hand.
* His closest friends are not fellow PBA players. They're mostly from high school or friends he grew up with in the neighborhood. In the PBA, he's closest to teammate D. Espino and former teammate R. del Rosario (Alaska). Other close friends include G. Ejercito, D. Ildefonso (batchmates in the UAAP), and R. Adducul (RP teammate).
