"He was one of the most keenly-watched prodigees in amateur ball. An MVP in the UAAP juniors who would later star in Santo Tomas' champion team in the varsity ranks.
In fact, the 6-3 forward could have gone a lot higher in the draft had he not entered it sooner than most people thought he should have.
But all the promise was never-fulfilled, at least not in his rookie year, as he suffered a foot injury in practice very early in the season and spent the rest of it either on the bench, or working his way back into shape."
