�It was the weekend and Matt had been away for just over a week, Morgan wandered downstairs sleepily into the kitchen to find her housemates sat at the table talking about their girlie night in the previous night and how drunk they all were.
�Morning sleepy head� said Erin, all Morgan could manage was a grunt and a half hearted wave as an attempt to say hi. �Hung over then hon?� asked her other housemate Anna. This time Morgan managed a �yep� as she took out a carton of juice and joining them at the table. �I�m never drinking again guys� announced Morgan in her Canadian accent. The only reply she got was 2 looks of �whatever Morgan� from her 2 house mates. Morgan managed a laugh knowing her efforts were wasted on the 2 of them and gave it up as a bad job as she picked up the paper and opened it randomly and noticed her boyfriends picture in the newspaper so naturally she started reading especially as the heading said: �MY NIGHT OF PASSION WITH MATTIE JAY FROM BUSTED�. As she read it she said �You have got to be joking� causing her house mates to look over and see the title to which Erin said �I�ll fucking kill him�. Morgan read out the article to her housemates reading out the girls alleged encounter with her boyfriend. Details of which seemed unlikely that anyone else would know about him unless they had had some kind of encounter with him. Erin the hot headed one of the 3 of them announced angrily �I�m going to kick his head in Morgan, he�s not cheating on you and getting away with it�. At that point the phone rang and Erin answered it, Anna and Morgan realised it must be Matt cos all they heard was �You�re a fucking twat, I can�t believe what you�ve done....you could have had the decency to warn her or be truthful you cheating git......I�ll see if she wants to talk to you but I doubt she will� Morgan walked over to Erin and took the phone off her smiling at her as if to say thanks hon I know you care. Morgan took a deep breath and said Hi down the phone. �Morgan I take it you�ve seen the paper then?� �Yes� �Fletch had it faxed to him over here and showed it me, I promise you it�s not true. You know I wouldn�t cheat on you. I don�t need or want anyone else, I�ve got you Morgan� �Ok� �Is that all your going to say Morgan? Ok?� �What else do you want me to say Matt? It�s ok if you did sleep with her? You were drunk? oh that�s ok then? I don�t actually know what to say or think to be honest� �Are you saying you don�t trust me Morgan?� �I�m not saying that at all Matt, I�ve never experienced this sort of thing before. Despite what you tell yourself, you can never prepare yourself for something like this. I read it and inside me I was reacting like Erin did down the phone. As she was describing what you were supposed to have done with her, I got so angry, I wanted to hit you. But then the reasonable side of me kicked in and thought you at least deserved the chance to explain yourself. Then I thought it was ok, we were never that serious� �Thanks Morgan nice to know you think a lot of our relationship we�re nothing serious� �You know what I mean Matt, at the time she�s saying it happened we were just seeing each other and having fun, now it is serious, I mean when you left the other week, I cried on my way home for the first time. I want it to not be true Matt I really do�. �I promise you Morgan it�s not true. I�ve done some thing�s in my time before I met you which I�m not proud of but all the time we�ve been together I have been faithful and never wanted anyone else.....apart from Britney of course if she happened to come along� Matt adding a short laugh. Morgan laughed back �Naturally and what kind of girlfriend would I be if I stood in your way of your chances with Miss Spears?� �That�s what I love about you, you understand the obsession with Britney� �You�re crazy� laughed Morgan �About you yes� Morgan just sat on the chair quiet. �I mean it Morgan, I�m crazy about you, everything I said the day we came to Germany I meant it. I�ve fallen in love with you, I don�t want to jeopardise what we have, especially not with someone like her in the paper, I don�t think so some how. When I get back we�ll be able to talk more, I promise� �Ok� �I�m going to have to go Morgan, I�ll ring you tonight� �Not a problem� �James and Charlie say hello there pretty lady too. They went mad at me when they saw the article. They are very protective of you, you know� Morgan laughed �Say Hi back to them for me� �Oi James, Charlie Morgan says Hi� A chorus of hello there pretty lady could be heard in the background causing Morgan and Matt to laugh. �I�d better go, I�ll speak to you tonight Morgan� �Ok, speak to you tonight� �I love you� �I love you too� Morgan pressed the button on the phone to end the call, and sat looking at the phone thinking about the conversation, the newspaper. He sounded sincere she thought, I�ll know for definite when he gets back cos I�ll be able to tell by the way he looks at me if he�s cheated on me. |
