Charlie climbed to the top of the stairs and followed the sound of sobbing which came from James room. He was worried about Emma, she always seemed so happy, but recently things hadnt been the same. As he slowly opened the bedroom door he realised the lights were off as he couldnt see a thing, it must have been a serious problem if Emma was crying in the dark.
Emma continued to cry; suddenly she heard the door creak and sharply spun around Hey, dont worry its only me said a concerned Charlie, making his way over to the bed. He sat down next to Emma who hadnt looked up since he came in. Tears flowed down her cheeks as she sniffled every one in a while. Slowly, he put an arm around her to comfort her, Emma burst out into a loud cry. Hey whats wrong? asked Charlie, pulling her delicate body into a hug and swaying her for comfort. Its nothing really sniffed Emma, pulling away from the hug Well it wouldnt be nothing if you were crying said Charlie, feeling more and more concerned by the minute that Emma wasnt opening up to anyone. HONESTLY! IM FINE she snapped Charlie looked her shocked WHY ARE YOU SO ANGRY AT ME FOR THEN? he yelled, getting up from the bed ITS NOT YOU IM ANGRY AT she shouted back THEN WHO? Emma looked down, tears still sliding down her wet cheeks I cant tell you she replied quietly. Why cant you tell me, dont you trust me? he asked, feeling slightly hurt No!...I mean of course I trust you but its got nothing to do with trust! I just cant tell you she cried, wishing that she could tell him. But Emma knew that if she did things would take a turn for the worst, Tara wouldnt talk to her and Charlie would be broken hearted, he was to in love with Tara to know the truth now anyway. Fine mumbled Charlie, beginning to make his way out of the room I dont think we can be friends anymore if you cant tell me things he put his head down and walked out the door, shutting Emma in the darkness. |
