Charlie came storming down the stairs and back into the living room, he looked quite upset as his forehead was creased and he only just managed a slight smile.
�How�d it go mate?� asked James who was wolfing down a tub of popcorn, which was meant to be for everyone to share. Charlie slowly walked over to Tara and sighed before sitting down on the sofa and pulling her onto his knee. �Not to well� he mumbled, stoking Tara�s bare shoulders. �I asked what was wrong, but she just flipped and said she couldn�t tell me!� his tone of voice became louder; you could tell he was angry. �Well, what else did she say?� asked James, sounding concerned �NOTHING! That�s the point� snapped Charlie �anyway I don�t wanna think about that cow if she�s gonna be like that, I�ve got better things going for me in my life right now then having to worry about HER� he looked towards the stairs then back down at Tara �The only good thing about meeting Emma was to be introduced to Tara� he smiled slightly kissing her on the forehead. Tara smiled slightly as he kissed her then glanced briefly over at Matt who was staring back, looking just as guilty. �I�m gonna go see if she�s ok� said James, getting up from the couch. �I wouldn�t bother� snapped Charlie, who was still angry �she�ll just snap at you as well, she�s pathetic and not worth the effort, so forget it James� James stood there looking shocked at him; he�d never known Charlie to be this mad at a girl before; usually he was kind and ignored them if they got on his nerves, but with Emma he wasn�t like that at all, it was almost as though he cared what she thought. �O..ok Mate� he replied sitting back down on the sofa �maybe she�ll calm down in the morning� �I don�t really give a sh*t� came the mumbled tone of Charlie Everyone sat in silence for the next few minutes and continued to watch the film, Tara and Matt smiling at each other every now and then. Suddenly Tara was distracted from her lovingly gaze with Matt by Charlie who grabbed her hand and gently pulled her out of the living room. He closed the door so that they were alone together in the hallway �Charlie what is it?� asked Tara curiously �Listen� he smiled �I�ve been thinking�� �Yer���� �I�ve been thinking�.well you know how much I love you� he continued. Tara smiled slightly, she felt so guilty because she loved Matt and she didn�t feel the same about Charlie. �Yes and I love you too� she lied �Well...you know how we�ve been seeing each other for a few months now and��..� �Go on� �And�� I really trust you now even though it�s only been a few months, I feel as though you�re the only girl I want to be with right now� Tara smiled weakly, and turned her head to look at the living room door, she wanted Matt more than anything right now. �Now I both know we are still young but I want to take this relationship further�...� �Charlie I��� �Tara I wanna have kids� he beamed �Wha??� Said Tara, she couldn�t believe she was having this conversation with him right now �It�d make me so proud to be able to say Hi, I�m Charlie the father of Tara�s kids or Hey, I�m Charlie and this is my family� Tara smiled weakly, she dreaded upsetting Charlie, but she hated the thought of having kids, not only was she not ready, but she hated children full stop. She just didn�t no what to say. �So���what do you think?� asked Charlie, gazing into her eyes while holding onto both her hands. �I�I�.� thoughts were racing madly through Tara�s mind �I say yes� she mumbled. It was the only way to make Charlie happy. �OMG you�ve made me the happiest man alive� he yelled, wrapping his arms around her tightly. Tara laughed at how thrilled he was but couldn�t believe she had gotten herself into this mess. |
