A good text which is quite readable, starts from an introductory level and also goes into sufficient depth is: Lawson, John & Erjavec, John, “Modern Statistics for Engineering and Quality Improvement”, Thomson Duxbury, 2000, Indian EPZ edition $9.00 (812 pages). Worth buying, if you are seriously into the topic.
There are 3 chapters on DoE (about 125 pages in a total of 700) in the book: Montgomery, Douglas C., 2001, “Introduction to Statistical Quality Control – fourth edition”, John Wiley & Sons Inc, New Delhi Indian EPZ edition $7.90.
Of course the well known text is: Montgomery, Douglas C., “Design and Analysis of Experiments”, Fifth ed, John Wiley & Sons Inc Indian EPZ edition $7.95, but a little voluminous (684 pages).
There are other good books, but unfortunately I have not come across their Indian editions.
