In this Digital Computer Age, the band DRUGS withtheir unique blending of Psychedelic Rock, Soul and Rhythm and Blues have stepped back in time to capture a sound that had all but disappeared from the music scene. The new super group features P-Funk’s Mike Clip Payne, Lige Curry, Garry Shider, along with Robert Chicken Burke and Adam Widoff of Toshi Reagon’s Band, “3”'s Joey Eppard, Stephanie McKay from Kwalib, and Jen Leigh from Michael Jackson.

The 420FM was the brainchild of Mike "Clipadelic" Payne who wanted to create a scene where musicians from different styles and disciplines could get together and play some of the music they love. Things have come a long way since the first 420 Funk Mob show at Tramps in 1997 when Clip, Lige Curry, Mike Hampton, Gabe Gonzalez,Grez Fitz, and special guests Billy Bass Nelson and Ron "Stozo" Edwards opened up for Cameo. Clip's vision began to take shape when he began incorprating his new friends from home into the mix. Ted Orr, Chicken Burke, Adam Widoff and The Flash. When he brought members of West Woody Posse together with members of Parliament/Funkadelic things began to happen.

2 lbs chicken thighs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 cup vinegar
1 tsp salt

It is easy to make tocino using Mamasita tocino mix bought from the oriental stores. Just thin slice your meat (chicken), then stand overnight in the fridge. Remove desired amount to cook in a frying pan. Add a little water and simmer to soften the meat before frying. Tastes like homemade!

From scratch: 2 lbs chicken thighs, * 1/4 cup sugar * 1/4 tsp salt peter * 1/4 cup vinegar * 1 tsp salt *** 1. Slice meat thinly. Combine the rest of the ingredients and stir until sugar is completely dissolved. Pour mixture over chicken in a thick plastic container, making sure the pieces are evenly coated. Let stand in the fridge for at least a day. Fry in oil to desired doneness or bake on a cooke sheet at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
