Goals for Paws Across the Northwest
	to help people determine what type of animal is best suited to their lifestyle.
	to compile lists of "animals available for adoption" and "animals wanted" throughout our area.
	to act as a directory, providing people with contacts that may have their perfect match.
	to raise awareness of the wonderful animals that are available in shelters and rescue groups - oftentimes purebreds.
	to educate people on the need for careful planning and choosing of a new addition to the family so that pets will not be turned back into shelters.
	to educate people on the special needs of abused animals, the importance of training and socializing and the need to spay and neuter.

Paws Across the Northwest is NOT a shelter or a rescue group. This network's purpose is to help get more exposure for animals needing homes across the pacific northwest and to improve communication between rescue groups, shelters and private parties for the benefit of animals.

Paws Across the Northwest does not warrant or provide assurances with regard to the identity, health or temperament of any animal listed for adoption on this site.

Paws Across the Northwest lists animals available for adoption when contacted by participating shelters, groups, independent foster homes or individuals. Paws Across the Northwest expressly disclaims any affiliation with, sponsorship of, or control over any pet shelter, adoption network, animal society, or individuals. Individuals should use their independent judgement to evaluate the merits of any individual or entity found on this site.

Adoption fees and requirements vary. Each group has its own policy.

Paws Across the Northwest reserves the right to refuse to network with any organization or individual for any reason.
